The Paks Nuclear Power Plant (Hungarian: Paksi atomerőmű) is located 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from the small town of Paks, central Hungary, 100km southwest of Budapest on the shores of the Danube river. It is the first and only operating nuclear power station in Hungary.
